Assigning Smartphones in the System
When using multiple smartphones, it can sometimes be difficult to assign each device to the correct entry in the system. The following options are available to simplify this process, with the device ID being the most important:
Device ID
The device ID is specifically designed for the unique identification of smartphones and provides the most reliable way to identify them. It is available both in the web application and on the smartphone itself:
- In the web application: The device ID can be found in the “Device” tab of the respective entry.
- On the smartphone: After logging in, the device ID can be viewed by clicking the three dots in the top right under “Help & Support”.
GPS Coordinates
If the GPS feature is enabled, the current location of the smartphone can be displayed on a map. This allows for geographic assignment of the device.
First Login Timestamp
The system stores the time when a smartphone first logs in. This information can be used to identify the device.
Device Details (Name, Manufacturer, Brand)
Additional information such as the device name, manufacturer, and brand also helps to identify the corresponding smartphone in the system.
Using these options, especially the device ID, ensures that smartphones can be uniquely assigned in the system.
