LiteLog allows you to reliably record the presence of any type of person — including staff, residents, members, participants, visitors, customers or external personnel. The system shows who is present, when someone arrives, takes a break, or leaves a location.
This guide explains the basic functions and helps you choose the best attendance tracking method for your environment.
What is Attendance Tracking?
LiteLog records several attendance actions for each person:
Check-in (Arrival)
The person enters a location or begins an activity.Pause (optional)
The person temporarily leaves the area.Check-out (Departure)
The attendance period ends.
Each entry automatically includes time, date and person, and becomes visible in real time in the dashboard.
Attendance Tracking Methods
LiteLog offers three flexible methods to record attendance.
Each organization can choose the method that best fits their workflow — or combine several methods.
1) Manual Attendance (Tap to Start/Stop)
Persons record their attendance directly in the app by tapping Start, Pause, or Stop.
Best for:
routines without fixed scan points
maximum flexibility
teams frequently changing locations
2) Attendance via QR or NFC Scan
Persons scan a QR code or tap an NFC tag with their smartphone.
The app automatically identifies which object/location the scan belongs to.
Benefits:
very low error rate
ideal for environments with many objects or frequent location changes
ensures attendance is recorded on-site
If scanning is not possible, a “Without Scan” option allows persons to enter a reason (e.g., direct travel to a customer).
This reason is automatically sent to the responsible object manager for review.
3) Attendance via NFC Terminal (Fixed Device)
A permanently installed NFC device, connected via Wi-Fi and power.
Persons register their attendance by holding an NFC chip (card/keyfob) to the device — no smartphone required.
Ideal for:
entrances and access points
residential facilities
club or community spaces
areas where smartphones are not available or permitted
