The time tracking view in LiteLog provides a complete and precise overview of all attendance records. Each recorded attendance appears as its own entry and includes all relevant information such as duration, breaks, work areas, and time ranges. This view is especially important for organizations that require reliable and traceable documentation.
1. What does the time tracking view show?
The table lists each attendance entry as an individual record. It contains the following information:
- Person: The person who checked in or out.
- Area / Location: The place or site where the attendance occurred.
- Date: The day on which the attendance was recorded.
- Start–End: Exact check-in and check-out times.
- Attendance duration: Net time without breaks.
- Break: Logged or automatically calculated break times.
- Total time: Attendance duration including breaks.
- Detail view: The “more details” link opens the full entry.
This view forms the basis for precise and audit-proof evaluation of working and attendance times.
2. Typical use cases
2.1 Working hours and time control
The time tracking view is ideal for internal working hour verification. Companies can track:
- how long individuals were present daily or weekly,
- whether break times were followed,
- whether unusual or incomplete entries exist.
Example:
A person was present on December 3rd from 08:00 to 16:30 with a 30-minute break.
The total time is therefore 8 hours.
2.2 Security services and site monitoring
The table is often used as documentation for clients. It records:
- when a site was entered or left,
- how long staff were on assignment,
- whether shift interruptions occurred.
Example:
A night security shift was on site continuously from 22:00 to 06:00.
2.3 Care, support, and social facilities
Time tracking is also relevant in social sectors, for example to determine:
- how long residents or participants were present,
- which areas were visited,
- whether care or support times were fully documented.
2.4 Analysis and optimization of workflows
Detailed time data makes it possible to identify patterns and optimization opportunities, such as:
- regular break times,
- shifts that are too long or too short,
- staff shortages or overload,
- unclear or incorrect time entries.
3. Filters in the time tracking view
To display all filter options, click the filter icon in the upper right corner of the view.
After the filters are visible, the following options are available:
- Filter by person
- Filter by role
- Filter by area or location
- Filter by date or date range
These filters allow you to narrow down evaluations—for example, for individual people, specific time periods, or different locations. They take effect immediately on the table.
4. CSV Export
Using the download icon, the currently filtered table can be exported as a CSV file. This file is particularly useful for:
- Excel evaluations,
- billing and payroll preparation,
- documentation for clients and contractors,
- archiving or further processing in other systems.
All active filters are automatically applied during export.
