Hello, how can we help you?

Device Management

Under Portal > Devices, you can manage all smartphones that have ever connected to your LiteLog account.
Here you can add, edit, assign, configure, or delete devices.

1. Add a Device

A new smartphone appears automatically in the device overview as soon as the LiteLog Mobile App connects to your account for the first time.

To ensure devices are automatically configured correctly, you can define Default Settings:
Default Device Settings

2. Device Overview & Multi-Selection

The table displays all registered devices. On the left side of each row, you will find a selection checkbox.
Using this, you can select one or multiple devices to apply actions to several devices at once.

2.1 Bulk Actions

After selecting multiple devices, the following actions become available:

  • Delete devices
  • Edit privacy settings (e.g., live location, proof-of-location, auto-logout)
  • Log out users

These features simplify the management of larger device fleets and speed up routine tasks such as device replacements or privacy configuration changes.

3. Edit a Device

Click on a device to open the detail view. It contains three tabs: Device, Privacy, and Assignment.

3.1 Device – Basic Information

  • Internal name
  • Notes
  • Status (active / disabled)
  • Device ID & system information

Optional: Display live location (if enabled).

4. Configure Privacy Settings

4.1 Auto-Logout on Inactivity

Automatically logs out users after a defined period of inactivity.

4.2 Live Location

Regularly transmits the device’s current GPS position.

4.3 Proof-of-Location

Saves the location during patrols, incident reports, and attendance bookings.

5. Assign a Device to a Property

In the Assignment tab, you define which properties the device is allowed to access.

5.1 Restrict Access

When enabled, the device may only be used within the selected properties.

Tip:

Ideal for devices at fixed locations (gatehouse, reception, guard room).

  • Employees automatically land in the correct property
  • Incorrect property selection is prevented
  • Faster and safer shift transitions

6. Delete a Device

Via the detail view or bulk actions, you can permanently delete one or multiple devices.
This removes all stored device data. The process cannot be undone.
