# Customer View

The customer view shows all relevant information about a single customer. Use the tabs to switch between the overview, contacts, documents, and the timeline. From here, you manage customer data, linked properties, and associated documents in one central place.

## Tabs

### Overview

The dashboard shows a list of assigned properties and the general customer information. You can edit the customer data directly from the sidebar.

### Contacts

The contacts table shows all contact persons and customer-to-customer links. You can create new links, assign roles, and set a **primary contact**.

### Documents

Invoices and quotes for the customer are displayed in separate tables. This tab is only visible if you have the **View documents** permission and the billing package is active.

### Timeline

The activity log shows all customer-related activities in chronological order — creation, changes, links, deals, and manually added notes. The timeline automatically loads more entries as you scroll down.

## Customer Access

In the **Customer access** section, you can assign a customer their own portal login. This gives the customer access to their assigned properties. If you clear the username, the access is deactivated.

## Good to Know

:::tip Note
- Only **one primary contact** can be set per business customer. If you assign a new primary contact, the previous one is automatically unset.
- Links between customers work in both directions — regardless of which side you create the link from, it appears for both customers.
- The timeline automatically logs all changes. Field changes are recorded in detail (previous and new value).
- When you archive a customer with customer access, the linked account is automatically deactivated. When you restore the customer, it is reactivated.

Contact your administrator if you do not have access.
