Proof of Life & Status (Property)

On this tab, you configure two protection and status features for the selected property: the proof of life (lone worker protection for spontaneous shifts) and the status reporter (radio status and SOS emergency button in the app, evaluated in the personnel overview).

Navigation: Master Data → Properties → select a property → panel entry "Proof of Life & Status" (group "Team")

What Is This View For?

How the proof of life works overall (confirmation interval, pre-alarm, main alarm, automation triggers) is described on the page Proof of Life (Dead Man's Switch). This tab is the property-level place for it: it applies to spontaneous shifts — check-ins without a planned shift preset — and as a safety net when a shift keeps running outside its planned window. For planned shifts, you set the proof of life per shift template in the shift planner.

The switch "Proof of life active at this property" sits directly in the Proof of Life section; while it is off, the input fields are locked. Without a custom configuration the defaults apply (interval 30 minutes, grace period 5 minutes) — the quick-enable on the greyed-out panel menu entry also arms it with these values. Switching off asks for confirmation; changes to interval and grace period are saved via the bar at the bottom.

Proof of Life

In the expandable Proof of Life section you set:

SettingMeaningLimits
Interval (minutes)How often employees in spontaneous shifts must confirm they are okay1–1440
Grace period (minutes)Additional time after the pre-alarm before the main alarm is triggered1–120

If no confirmation arrives, LiteLog escalates automatically: first a pre-alarm (push prompt to the employee), then after the grace period the main alarm (incident with last known position, status "Emergency", automation triggers).

Status Reporter & Personnel Overview

The second expandable section controls the status reporter — radio status and SOS emergency button in the app for this property:

  • Status catalog — the account-wide status definitions as chips, with a link "Manage statuses" to Settings → Status Definitions.
  • "Status reporter active at this property" — the property switch (on by default). When off, the status reporter does not appear in the app at this property.
  • If the account-wide status reporter master switch is off, the property switch is locked; a hint leads to the status catalog in the settings.

Good to Know

:::tip Note

  • This area belongs to the personnel overview feature set and is not included in every package. Without activation, the tab shows a corresponding notice.
  • Status reporter and proof of life are connected: every status report counts as a sign of life and resets the confirmation interval.
  • If the proof of life is explicitly disabled on a shift preset, it stays off for shifts within that window even if the property has a proof of life configured. :::

Permissions

:::info Permission To view, you need View force overview (or Edit properties); the proof of life is changed by accounts with Configure force overview, the status reporter switch by accounts with Edit properties. Contact your administrator if you don't have access. :::
