Edit Route
You edit an existing route (a route template) in the planning drawer: open the route's detail view (task schedule, list or property tab) and click Edit at the top right. This opens the same three-step wizard as for creating — basic data, scheduling with schedule preview, checkpoints — prefilled with the saved state. All fields and options are described there; here only the differences.
Differences from Creating
Step 4 — Change applies from
When editing, a fourth step is added: you choose whether the changes take effect immediately or from a future date. With "Immediately", the existing route is fully replaced; with "From a date", the old version remains active until the chosen date and the new one takes over afterward — so no log history is lost. The button in the drawer header is called Save changes here. If nothing was changed, "Next" on the checkpoints step returns straight to the summary.
Change reason (change approval)
If your account's policy requires approval for route templates, the fourth step also shows the mandatory Change reason field (at least 5 characters). The change is then filed as a request and takes effect only after a second authorised person approves it.
Unsaved Changes Guard
Unsaved changes are automatically detected. If you close the drawer or click Cancel, you are asked first. Use Discard changes in the header to return to the last saved state at any time.
Good to Know
:::tip Note
- Whether the route is paused on holidays, runs only on holidays, or is treated normally is controlled by the template's holiday rule (Scheduling step). The property settings only maintain the holiday list itself.
- The planned route appointments are automatically created for the next 5 days. The calendar preview updates after every change. :::
